Zheng He, A Muslim, Adventurer and a worrier of the 15th century. He was among the Chinese Muslim admiral of the 15th Century. 22 years after Muslim Geographer, Ibn Battuta, Zheng He would sail through the Indian ocean would retrace some of the same routes taken by Ibn Battuta, but would be in huge boats called “junks”. He would go to East Africa, Makkah, Persian Gulf, and throughout the Indian Ocean.
Zheng He, accomplished decades before the two European adventurers, Christopher Columbus or Vasco da Gama, of the West.

Abu Abdullah Muhammad Ibn Battuta was born in tangier in 1304. His year of death is uncertain, possibly 1368 -69. He was a Moroccan traveler, geographer, botanist and man of the law.
At times he was Qadi or judge; however, he is best known as a traveler and explorer, whose account documents his travels and excursions over a period of almost thirty years, covering some 73,0000 miles (117000 km). These journeys covered almost the entirety of the known Islamic world, extending from present day North and West Africa to Pakistan, India, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Southeast Asia and China a distance readily surpassing that of his predecessor and near contemporary Marco Polo.
